Perhaps one of the most irritating stages to high level leadership inside an organization, during the pressure and necessities of the day-today, is the superficial and primary utilization of gerund, in critical moments, where a strong and robust position is much more appropriate.
When your responsibilities are questioned, and answers such as, “I’m searching”, “I’m waiting”, “I’m checking”, are used, the message being transmitted can be considered as a lack of commitment, and you could be missing out on a great opportunity to show assertiveness and delivery quality. Always be extremely prepared and involved in your duties and never forget that meetings are becoming even more prevalent, being they are the best forum to show your qualities and abilities.
Inside an organization no one has the right to wait, people are paid to deliver and make things happen.
